SPA THERAPIST DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The goal of Spa Therapist job duties is to deliver exceptional service to each client in a pleasant, sanitary and safe environment. Some daily responsibilities of a Spa Therapist may include:

• Asking questions to uncover clients’ preferences and identify any medical concerns or allergies
• Explaining the steps of therapies and answering questions before, during and after services
• Notating client records with services performed and any important reminders for future services
• Thoroughly cleaning equipment and changing sheets before each appointment
• Updating inventory when removing supplies from storage
• Handling client complaints and reporting injuries or illnesses to management

SPA ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented person to join our company as a Spa Assistant. As part of our team, you greet customers, make and adjust reservations for spa services, and assist customers with payment options at the end of their stay. Our spa offers clients a luxury environment in which to relax, heal, and recharge; you are a key part of this process, guiding them to the particular services or treatments that will best meet their individual needs. Our ideal candidate has a calm and relaxed but professional demeanor and is familiar with the various relaxation and medicinal treatments we offer. Prior experience in a spa is desirable, but we will train very motivated applicants in the right circumstances.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers and confirm their reserved treatments or services
• Answer phones and make or alter reservations as necessary
• Explain our various services and treatments to clients, recommending those best suited to their needs or desires
• Receive payments and assist customers with billing questions
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels throughout spa facility, and reorder as required

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Must currently be in school or in an aesthetician program
• Prior experience in a spa or wellness environment
• Knowledge of various wellness and healing treatments
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Smart Serve certificate is an asset (not required)

LOCATION

Must be located or have accommodations in Muskoka, ON.
