Yoga & Pilates at Bala Bay Inn

Wink and Wave now offers onsite indoor Yoga classes every day of the week at the Bala Bay Inn. We have a dedicated room inside the hotel and we can’t wait to share it with you all! All levels are welcome! Each class features a different instructor, allowing you to choose which class you’d like to be in. We ask that you pre-register to reserve your spot! Spaces are limited.
 
Classes are 1 hour long with a capacity of 20 people per class. There are mats onsite, but we recommend that you bring your own. These classes are held indoors in a temperature controlled studio. There are washrooms and a room to hang your belongings.

Yoga Instructors

Jasmine

Jasmine has been sharing her life affirming, non-judgemental and compassionate practice with students aged 0-99 in Muskoka and abroad for over 10 years. Jasmine is trained in Hatha, Kundalini, Core Strength Vinyasa, Pre and Post Natal, Yoga Warriors for Trauma and PTSD, and Thai Yoga Massage. Her thought provoking inspirations and meditations woven throughout the practice apply ancient wisdom, pave the way for spiritual growth and physical well being.

Karina

Karina was a triathlete for over 20 years, racing competitively in national and international races. Her journey to Yoga began when she suffered from chronic back pain. While accessing physio, massage, and chiropractic helped, it wasn’t until she discovered Yoga that she found permanent relief. She credits the practice for transforming her life and giving her the freedom to pursue an active lifestyle. Karina is trained in Hatha Yoga, Yin and Vinyasa, and specializes in a gentle, breath lead practice.

Lauren

Lauren is a passionate yoga teacher specializing in Hatha, Vinyasa, breathwork, and meditation in the Muskoka region and online. With a background rooted in personal transformation through yoga, Lauren’s classes create inclusive and nurturing spaces for students to explore their practice. Her classes offer a blend of dynamic movement, mindful breathing, and moments of stillness, guiding students toward balance, strength, and inner peace. Join Lauren on the mat for a journey of self-discovery and empowerment through the transformative power of yoga.

Paige

Paige is very passionate about teaching all types of physical movement to people of all ages. Paige is keen on teaching people how to move well, be and feel strong through all stages of life. Her pilates classes will help target deep core work while incorporating movements that challenge all kinds of body mobility and strength. Paige is not only a ferried pilates instructor on both mat and reformer but also a yoga instructor and swimming teacher giving her well rounded body movement knowledge.

Stephanie

Stephanie offers a mix of movement, meditation, and music in her classes. She brings a collection of thousands of hours of yoga study to the mat rooted in foundations and integration. Stephanie will remind you how strong you are and give you space to rest.

Trinity

Trinity found yoga through a dedicated personal practice, then fell further in love with the practice once she began Hot Yoga with Bikram. Trinity is also an Energy / Body Worker and Certified Holistic Health Coach, through these practices she leads others to Whole-istic Wellbeing … Body, Mind and Soul. Trinity enjoys assisting others to find more balance, joy and peace in life. She looks forward to welcoming you to her Soulful Hatha Flow Classes.

Gentle Hatha Yoga

Unwind and reconnect with Gentle Hatha, a gentle exploration of yoga’s core principles. Delve into longer-held poses, focusing on alignment and breath awareness to promote relaxation and inner peace. From gentle stretches to supported postures and meditation, this class offers a sanctuary for self-reflection and rejuvenation, providing a holistic approach to well-being for all levels of practitioners.

Mat Pilates

Mat pilates is a strengthening and lengthening form of exercises that focuses on core muscles/ strength, flexibility and mindful movement. Mat pilates is based on the original classical exercises that Joseph Pilates originally developed to strengthen his own body. You’re in for a spicy workout all being led with proper body alignment in mind.

Soulful Flow Yoga

This class flows through a grounding Yoga sequence to help open and energize the body and to restore balance from within. Deepen your understanding of the postures, alignment in the body, breathing and relaxation techniques.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Dive into the dynamic rhythm of breath and movement in our Vinyasa Flow class. Guided by the rhythm of your breath, this invigorating practice seamlessly weaves together a series of postures, creating a flowing sequence that energizes the body and calms the mind. Through mindful transitions, you’ll explore a variety of poses, from sun salutations to standing balances, inversions, and backbends. Suitable for all levels, this practice fosters strength, flexibility, and mindfulness in a welcoming atmosphere.
